1. Two things that you need before you can start a web page.
a) Have an idea
b) Target audience
2. There are two types of web graphics.
a) Vector (lines and shapes)
b) Bitmapped (Digital photos) every pixel is accounted for
3. There are two types of files we can use on the web
a) Jpeg are RGB (Red, Green, Blue) 16 millions, or 24millions, or 32 millions colors
b) GIF are index colors 256 or less
4. There are 2 types of GIF files
a) GIF89 (transparent background) at least one color is transparent
b) GIF animation. A series of frames
5. Ways of obtaining graphics.
a) Scanning pictures. Ideal 72 dpi for the web
b) Save picture as.
